I've been doing technical SEO for over a decade. When AI search started changing how citations work, I found myself spending hours manually checking whether clients were appearing in Perplexity, Gemini, and ChatGPT answers — and then trying to explain why they weren't. Citerank is the tool I built to stop doing that manually. It started as internal agency tooling and became something worth sharing.

What Citerank does

Citerank analyzes any URL or domain and returns an AI visibility score (the "Citerank Score") along with specific, actionable recommendations for improving citation frequency across AI search engines. The platform includes tools for:

How Citerank uses Google data

Citerank optionally integrates with Google Search Console to enrich audits with real organic search performance data. When a user connects their Google Search Console account, Citerank requests read-only access to:

Search performance data (impressions, clicks, average position) for verified properties
Top queries and landing pages driving organic traffic
Index coverage signals for audited URLs

This data is used solely to display AI visibility insights alongside traditional search performance in the user's Citerank dashboard. It is displayed only to the authenticated account holder. Citerank does not sell, share, or transfer this data to third parties. Users can disconnect Google Search Console at any time from Settings → Integrations.
